Australian Damper Bread

 

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Add ingredients first mix the dry ones and then add the water, knead until getting an uniform dough.

Lay it in a bowl and let it rise covered with plastic foil for two hours.

The shape the dough into a round lumpy loaf.

Lay it on a baking dish (covered with baking paper) cover the loaf with plastic foil and let it rise for 1 hour.

With a very sharp knife, cut an "X"  in the center of the loaf.

Brush the loaf with milk.

Bake the loaf in a previously preheated oven at 190°C for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
