Combine the beef, salt and curry in a large bowl.

In another bowl, combine together the eggs, milk and cream.

Combine half the egg mixture with the meat mixture and stir in the apricots.

Turn the mixture in a greased baking dish (we used individual ones).

Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top and float the bay leaves over the mixture.

Add some butter to the top.

Place in the center of a previously pre-heated oven at 180 °C and bake for 45 minutes or until the top resembles baked custard. Serve immediately spooned over rice.
