Baid Alqata or Salouq



For the dough:

For the walnut filling:

For date & walnut filling:


Place all the dough ingredients in a bowl and knead for around 3 minutes.

Cover it and let it rise for 5 minutes.

Divide the dough into 24 pieces, fill 12 pieces on adding 1/2 tbsp of the walnut filling and the other 12 pieces with the date and walnut filling.

Shape each piece into a ball, with help of a fork make holes around the ball.

Lay them on a baking dish (previously covered with baking paper).

Bake them in a previously preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes.

Dust them with powder sugar.
