Bonnie Pepper Chicken




Place the chicken in a large saucepan and add enough water to cover it.

Add the salt and heat the water up to light boil. Add the chunks of onion, black pepper and split bonnie peppers.

Then add the carrots, italian seasoning, white pepper and soy sauce.

Cover and allow to simmer over medium heat for 70 minutes.

Add the cabbage and continue simmering covered for 10 minutes more or until the chicken is completely done.

Serve the chicken with the vegetables over rice. Season the rice with a bit of the stock and additional soy sauce as desired.

As alternative you can serve this as a soup (we served this way).

Strain the stock, shred the chicken, chop the cabbage and combine as much of each ellement as desire with the rice.
