Braised chicken with chilies

                                                                                               

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Melt the butter and oil on a frying pan.

Add the chicken and cook until browned all sides.Remove and set aside.

Add the onion rings and sauté until soft.

Add the broth, nutmeg, salt, pepper and chilies and bring it to a boil.

Put the chicken back in the pan, reduce the heat and simmer until the chicken is tender (around 20 - 45 minutes).

Serve with tropical fruits such as pineapple, papaya or mango along with baked yams will complete this chicken dish.
