Chicken and Onion Pie





In a large frying pan, melt half the butter and sauté the onions until tender. Set aside.

Add the flour and milk gradually to the pan to make a thick sauce.

Season with salt and pepper. Add the chopped chicken and egg yolk. Mix well.

Grease a pie dish, set aside.

Mix the breadcrumbs with the rest of the butter. Press the mixture against the bottom and sides of the pie dish.

Fill it with the chicken and onion mixture.

Garnish the top with the cheese.

Bake on a previously pre-heated oven at 180°C for around 30 minutes or until golden brown in top.
