In a large skillet, heat up the oil and fry the meat and onions for about 12 minutes or until the onions are translucent and the meat lightly golden.

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a separated pan, then scatter the flour over the top and stir until a smooth roux is formed.

Cook stirring continuously, until lightly browned, then add the cheese and season with salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper.

Add the meat and onions into this mixture and stir to combine.

Take the mixture off the heat and place in a greased baking dish (we used individual ones).

Bake in a previously pre-heated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.

Serve immediately with fried potatoes.
