Frango A Portuguesa




In a large wok, melt the butter together with the oil and sauté the chicken (previously seasoned with salt and pepper) until browned all sides. Remove from the wok and reserve.

Add the onion and garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes or until the onions soften.

Add the flour, stir well. Add the tomatoes, sherry, salt and crushed red pepper. Simmer covered for 45 minutes.

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
