In a large bowl combine the meat, onion, egg, rice, salt and pepper. Mix well and make small meatballs from it.Reserve.
Combine broth, carrot, potato, tomatoes, chickpeas, cumin, paprika, parsley, coriander, salt and pepper in a large saucepan.
Bring this to a boil add slowly add the meatballs into the soup.
Stir gently and simmer for 25 minutes.
Serve with a dollip of yogurt.
