In a bowl combine the flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
Heat the milk and butter up without boiling. Slowly add it to the flour mixture.
Add the eggs to the mixture, continue kneading add the raisins and continue kneading until the dough is uniform.
The dough must be very smooth and elastic, a little sticky but never stiff.
Place the dough in a bowl and cover it with kitchen foil. Let it rise for 2 hours.
Divide the dough in 9 equal size balls and form with help of a knife (sinterklaas figures).
Lay in a lined baking tray and let it rise covered, in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Make an eggwash with 1 egg yolk and 2 tbs milk. Brush the breads with it.
Bake in a previously pre-heated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
