For the sauce:


In a large frying pan, heat up the oil and fry the meat with the onions until the meat is browned and the onions are soft.

Make balls from the bread dough. Add the broth to the pan with the meat.

Add the spice mix, chopped tomatoes and bay leaves along with the bread dough balls. Bring it to a boil, then stew for about 1 hour or until everything is tender.

Meanwhile in another frying pan,  fry the garlic and the spring onions until golden, add all the other sauce ingredients except the yogurt and fry for a minute, set aside.

When ready to serve, add the yogurt to the sauce and stir well. Remove the bay leaves, spoon meat onto a bed of rice and serve with the sauce.
