Remove the skin from the carrot and cut it in slices.
Cut all the other vegetables finely.
In a pot you place the oil and once it's on temp. add the vegetables in the next order: 1st onion, 2nd paprika, 3rd carrot and at last the tomatoes. Let it cook.
Add the chicken and mix it all together in the pot.
Then add the almonds (chopped), the raisins, the prunes, the figs and the spices ( all this is added in the amounts you like).
Mix it all together again and add the water to it, leaf that on low fire until all the liquid get reduced and everything be well-done.
Prepare the cous-cous following the indication on the package and service it together with the chicken.
