Rwandan Beef Stew

                                                                                                  

Ingredients:

Preparation:

In a casserole, heat up the oil, add the beef and brown it all sides, add the onions and cook until translucent.

Rub the plantains with the lemon juice, add them to the casserole, cook for 5 minutes on low heat, stirring constantly.

Add all the remaining ingredients and enough water for covering all.

Bring it to a simmer and cook on low heat for around 2 hours (adding more water if neccesary).

Serve with rice or a maize porridge.
