For the cross:
In a bowl mix the flour with the salt, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and yeast.
Add the butter mixing with the hands until the butter is well blended with the flour and it has a real fine texture.
Combine the eggs with the milk and add it to the flour mixture.Beat until the dough is uniform and it doesn't stick in the bowl.
Form the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl and cover it with kitchen foil.
Let it rise for two hours.Once the dough rises, remove it from the bowl and knead it for five minutes.
Again place the dough into the bowl and let it rise for one hour.
While the dough rises make the cross mixing the flour with the water and the salt until getting an smooth dough.
Make a cross with this dough.
Once the dough has rised the second time, divide the dough in two.
Shape one half into a ball and with the other half make a braid for the border of the ball.
Attach the cross and the braid on the bread and you can give it an egg wash (with an egg yolk and milk).
Bake in a pre heated oven at 180°C for about 1 hour or until golden brown.
